GOCEK ISLAND

Göcek Island protects the harbor as a breakwater and prevents Gocek Bay from severe weather conditions. To the east of Gocek Island, 36 ° 43'34.6 "N 28 ° 57'01.8" E coordinates, there is a lighthouse entrance to the Göcek Bay. You can go to Gutsek Bay, leaving a lighthouse on your port. To the east of Gocek Island there is a small pier and a beautiful restaurant. In summer, you can get here by boat from Gocek Island Beach to Gocek Center..

 

YASSICA ISLANDS

There is few small islands groups in archipelago. Kids and swimming learners will enjoy a lot in sandy and shallow area of the island. There is not any restaurants or facility in yassica islands but there is small boats which service pancakes and drinks. It is very nice and sheltered area to stay at night that also you can find buoys for your yacht. 

 

OLIVE ISLAND

Private island; owner is a one of the most wealty businessman in Turkey; board chairman of Zorlu Group.

It is forbidden to set a foot on island. There is electricity cables between north west of island and the shore.There is shelf area; block wall between the small island which is east of the Olive Island, boats can not pass across.

 

TERSANE(DOCK) ISLAND

Tersane Island, the largest island in Gocek Harbor, is home to the ruins of the historic shipyard used in the Ottoman Empire after the Byzantine. It was named as Telandria in the ancient time. Winter cove which is entered from north west of the island is a sheltered harbor even in the winter season as understood from it’s name.  To the east of Tersane Island, there is a summer cove also available for anchoring. There is a nice restaurant and a small pier at Tersane bay that you can stay overnight.  

 

 

DOMUZ ISLAND (SWINE ISLAND)

Private island, belongs to family of Simavi is closest island to Kapıdag Peninsula. Name comes from swines because they have been crossing to island from Kapidag peninsula. Poncho bay in the north of island is preferred for anchorage because of clear water. Between the Domuz island and Tersane bay there is smal Aquarium island, so nice for snorkelling. 

 

GOBUN BAY-KAPI CREEK- KAPI BAY

Gobun bay( Kapi Bay) is one of the marvelous place in Gocek bays which should be visit. Inside the wonderful nature you will find historical remains, ruins from Roman Byzantine period as an open air museum. Inside the wonderful nature you will see historical remains from Roman Byzantine period as open air museum. Gobun bay(Kapi Greek) is sheltered from most of the weather conditions. It is safe to stay overnight by the mooring lines on piers. You can taste the kinds of delicious Turkish cusine in Gobun Restaurant.

 

HAMAM BAY-MANASTIR COVE-CLEOPATRA-WALL BAY

(Wall Bay) Hamam Bay is one of the most popular bay in Gocek Gulf. The cove takes it’s name from an ancient bath ruins which stands in the sea. According to rumors, Cleopatra and Alexander the Great had been here.  Also the bay is called Cleopatra's Bay because of the history. There is an ancient city “Lydae” left from the Lycia civilization. You can reach to city by a hour walking. Manastir bay is one of the most popular in Gocek bays, should be in your route plan definitely.

 

BEDRI RAHMI-TASYAKA COVE-TOMB BAY

Since 1974 when the famous writer, poet, painter Bedri Rahmi Eyupoglu paint the rock with surreal fish figure the bay called Bedri Rahmi. Tomb Bay has many tombs and ruins as the other Gocek bays. You will live in ancient time, swim in crystal clear water, breathe among the pine trees. Tasyaka cove is mostly protected to North winds but there is nice restaurant west of the cove which has also safe mooring pier. The cove which the restaurant has been placed is protected to south and west winds also. Do not forget to taste delicious tandouri bread here, it’s the famous one.
